About the Artist

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in the small farming community of Aurelia, Iowa, Artist Fraser Leonard has had a passion for creating all of his life. At a young age of 12 years old, Fraser won first prize in his school’s Poppy Poster Contest of Uncle Sam, which continued to influence creativity throughout his high school years, and at the age of 16 he won first in the state of Iowa, for a historical watercolor, and in college Fraser won first in the state of Arkansas Art Festival.

With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Ozarks and graduate studies at SIU, Artist Fraser Leonard was ready to share his talents and inspire over 6,000 students in 31 years at a secondary and college level, and some students becoming national gold metal recipients.

Fraser’s accolades include winning a 10 state competition in the Springfield MO Art Museum, part of a world collection, and also recognized by Dr Harold Daum’s Art World Collection in Sedalia Art Museum (click here for extensive listing of Artist Fraser’s awards)

Over the years, Fraser has sold thousands of contemporary fine art from paintings, to sculptures, and watercolor all over the USA and even internationally. All of his contemporary fine art for sale is a spontaneous response to his environment. He draws his inspiration from his day-to-day life, realizing the importance of each day. Some of his artwork is bold, aggressive, vibrant and colorful and yet sensitive. His body of abstract art represents freedom of expressionism and is totally unencumbered and intuitive.
